Winter is coming but before then we can enjoy my favourite season; autumn. I love autumn because it’s the best weather to dress in. You can layer up fabrics, wear biker boots, wear leather, wear knitwear and still wear cute little lace tops like this one if you want. Autumn allows me to wear all my favourite fabrics and styles.

I have been unwell this year and it’s not even winter yet. I suffer from Crohn’s disease and severe asthma, something I never talk about my blog, it’s way to boring. I am happy to talk about it if you want to know? A few of you have asked me via Snapchat why I always sound ill so to explain this; half the time I am not ill, I have a problem with my nose and I am waiting to have a operation so I can breathe through it. The other half of the time I am actually ill, my asthma is pretty severe and I do spend a lot of time in hospital. I hope this answers the mystery of why I always sound ill? I also hope it inspires you to not let an illness bring you down. My illness has held me back a lot and there are a lot of things I can’t do but I do not let this hold me back. I spent the weekend in hospital just before fashion week. If you follow my snap chat you would have seen Paris and I messing around. Even with a drip in my arm I am still the joker and I don’t let anything stop me from living my life. I am also so lucky to have the perfect husband who sits by my side in hospital of hours when I need him.

Anyway this cardigan has been the perfect cosy knit keeping me warm and snug for the last few days. I throw it over anything and everything I wear. I love the scruffy look, so it’s a perfect piece for me. This one is from Zara but there are similar ones listed in the credits.

My leather pants were a pricey purchases but I have had them for years and always wear them. Good quality leather items never go out of fashion and always last a life time. Every one needs some leather trousers.

This is a great casual everyday look. It is one of my favourite outfits because it’s comfortable and scruffy. The Chloe Faye and lush Porsche sunnies gave the look a finishing luxe touch.

We have only started to read your blog in the last few months or so and I have read the last couple of posts with interest.
As you say, your latest looks definitely works for you much better than some of the earlier ones.
But I love how you post a bit of everything and this kind of progression is really interesting to see rather than someone who is endlessly tasteful and perfect.
But more interesting are your personal insights. What you put out there is brave, and I can see you probably come in for some stick from those who just glance at your Instagram and don’t read your posts.
You are a fascinating and intelligent young lady (trust me 30 is young!) and I can’t wait to see what life has in-store for you.
On the asthma note, my son used to be hospitalised every season with it, a naturopath suggested dehydrated barley grass (get it in wholefoods and holland and barrett etc) He takes it daily and it has sorted out both his eczema and asthma. It is also meant to help with digestive issues, so could be worth a try. Anyway I hope that you don’t mind the long comment and good luck!

This is a lovely comment, I enjoyed reading it; thank you.

I still write like no one is listening, I think this is why I am so open.

Thank you for the tip! I have never heard of this and I am going to buy some today.

Thank you. I think if people were not asking me why I always sound ill I probably would of kept it quite. It’s better to be open because then other share their stories and it makes you feel better.
