LFW DAY 1: MY LOOK
I went for dark colours because London was so gloomy, it would feel weird to be dressed in anything bright. It was so cold yesterday too. I love fringed leather and obviously so does Emma as we both wore tasseled jackets, which you can buy here and here. My popsicle and Bon Bon gave me a pop a of colour and also kept me warm. My boots are my savour every season and I live in them, they are slightly pricey but cost per wear I have got my moneys worth. They are the only heels I can wear all day long. Click here to shop.
My first show was Bora Aksu. There were lots of textures created with floating chiffon, flower appliqués and rope layering. The autumn colour palette was full of smokey pastels and hints of burgundy and black. My favourite look was the smokey blue floor length dress.
My second show was Felder and Felder. This location was a nice change from the usual Somerset House and the space had a great atmosphere. The collection was uber sexy which I loved; sheer fabrics and thigh high splits. Any piece that featured lace was on my hit list, the lace black trousers were the show stopper for me.
My third show was Jean Pierre Braganza. I have been lucky enough to attend this show for a few seasons now and this was the strongest collection for me. As you will know I am into “over the elbow” leather gloves (see here) so I pleased to spot some “over the elbows”. I love the flare silk trouser with over sized tops and the knee high laser cut boots were pretty fab. With out a doubt the best pieces were the two black leather aviator jacket’s….. get in my wardribe now. I would actually wear so many of the looks, I took a mental note of the knitted dress with that amazing side slit worn with the aviaotr leather and knee high boots. Thanks JP for the inspo, I will be rocking this look for sure.
The final show was Sass and Bide, a brand I have loved for years. I was pleased to see some fringing and tassels swishing around. The brand stay true to their roots of metallic and cut out paneling, black and gold and that sleek sexiness they always seem to get spot on. There were some monochrome looks to mix up the total black but for me I loved the head to toe black looks.
In between shows I met up with a few of my blogger and editor friends that weere mooching around Somerset House, we had coffee, shot some photos, popped over to the show rooms at The Me hotel, ate way too many macaroons and it was home time for me because today I ran 6k with Nike at 7am, which was totally amazing btw. I am off to get ready for day 2, no idea what I am wearing so stay tuned tomorrow for todays events.
