At first glance you can see that this article is photo heavy. There is no other reason for this than, I love this look and location. There are only so many photos I should share but I could not help myself. When I started my blog five years ago, I made a promise to myself that I would only share products I loved and it would be “my” way. Five years on I have kept that promise, this is why so many of you tell me how genuine you think I am, this means the world; thank you.
Today’s look is ALL my favourite things in life (well some of them.) The St Alberts pink bridge in Chelsea, this for me is the most beautiful location in London and the best bridge I have ever seen. Around Christmas it is so festive. I wanted to shoot this look around 4pm because that is when the lights are switched on. The location truly epitomises London- cute postcard Telephone boxes and ethereal wintery lighting bouncing off the ornate carvings of the bridge.
For this shoot I was dressed up in my cosy oversized knit, festive handbag, braided hair and PANDORA pearl accessories. I wanted to show you a look that has a festive hint, was slightly glam but remained very practical and warm for the upcoming Christmas season. One way to achieve this is wearing a bright chunky knit, paired with some fitted flares which are very flattering and elongating. The beautiful braid in my hair accentuates the cable knit of the jumper adding that extra detail that pulls the outfit together. However, most important are my PANDORA accessories– giving me just the right amount of sparkle.
As you are aware, I am a lover of this brand, especially since I discovered their PANDORA ROSE collection, which you can see me wear here or shop here. I then discovered their pearl pieces, which you can see me wear here or shop here. Everybody knows I have a small obsession with pearls (okay a big obsession). I love the PANDORA pearls because they are a modern twist on such a classic gem. Pearls are the perfect pieces to wear during the day, I have told you before… a lady is not meant to wear diamonds during the day. I feel like wearing pearls is a great way to make my tomboy looks more feminine.
My earrings are little pearls drops. A great styling tip is to wear slightly dangly earrings if you have a round face. This gives you the illusion of a longer face shape. The longer the earring, the slimmer your face will look.
I also wore the matching ring here, a cute single pearl gem. I love this ring on its own but I also loved the idea of wearing it with a lace cuff. See the photos at the end of this post. I also thought the pearl droplet necklace would look cute as a bracelet aka two in one. The chain length was the perfect size to wrap around my wrist. I loved the delicate, daintiness of these two together.
I cannot tell you how in love I am with this locket necklace. I asked Paris to get me a locket for Christmas, as I really wanted one to hold a photo of Paris and Tallulah. Us three are always together, literally every day. It sounds cheesy but when I am away, I think a locket with them included would always cheer me up! I am an impatient person; I always ask for things and then get them for myself. My mum tells me I used to do this as a teenager, clearly nothing’s changed! You can add charms inside to represent special memories or loved ones, or style it up the way I have as a beautiful pendant necklace over my chunky knit- the perfect silver sparkle to tie in with my rings and earrings.
