Black Leather And Lace

This is what I wore to the Shiatzy Chen show in Paris. This was one of my last shows and like always it takes me to get 101 blisters to realise flats are the way forward when you do not have the privilege of a chauffeur driving you from door to door.

I always find that the Parisians wear black and navy a lot so at least I did not get as many on lookers starring at me in this outfit.

I took this photos opposite the Grand Palais where there is the most beautiful and grand golden gate. The gate complimented my black outfit and vintage Chanel belt perfectly.

The show space was not as grand as last season and there were a lot of waiting around outside before we was aloud in. I really feel like the fashion shows in Paris are so stressful not only because it is not my country and I do not know my way around as well as London but no one wants to help. I also noticed that people off the street literally join the queue for the shows, for this show I was standing behind a middle aged American couple (looking very touristy) and a group of young American girls who played Volley Ball and were in their sports gear. The people on the door are clearly used to randoms trying to get into the shows so this meant that every time I tried to enter a show I received a rude greeting and they would demand to see my ticket. I am sure you all heard Miranda Kerr was denied entry to the Louis Vuitton show because she was late? This would not happen in London as I see many people and even Z lister celebs slipping into show half way through. So if you thinking of sneaking into any shows I do not recommend you try this in Paris, I would say they are the strictest.

Any-who I enjoyed the collection. I loved the transparent fabrics, pastels colours and sharp tailoring. I would happily wear any piece from Shiatzy Chen’s SS14 and I am a fan of the brand. It was refreshing to see a neon palette to mix up the pastel tones. As for the hair I love this swept back wet look, specially on models as it shows off their beautiful faces. However I felt like in this show the models have came straight from another show and the hair looked messy and not finished, maybe this was intentional?

Over all I thought the collection was great, and the tailored pieces really stood out. I also liked the green moss on the floor! It does spoilt it for me when I have so much difficulty to enter a show, I have to wait outside for absolutely ages and the staff on the door are incredibly rude. If I am invited to a show with my invite in my hand and I am attending to promote and review the collection it would be nice to attend hassle free.

Gorgeous golden gate backdrop for an outfit post! And the lace zara top is worn so nicely, it looks super expensive 😉 And those Jimmy Choos are awesome, if only I can pull off thigh high or knee high hahaa.
