This was the look I wore for my first morning in NYC. I went for a classic, comfortable look. I wanted to be smart (because we had a meeting) but I also needed to be cool as it was really humid in Manhattan. This shirt is the best shirt I ever seen or worn. The fabric was incredible soft and it was a dream to wear. The sleeve were super exaggerated and I love all the detail, from the tie at the front, to the cuffs to the side slits; this shirt gives you everything you need.
The jeans are by Victoria Beckham. Referring back to my Harrods days I remember her pieces running small so I ordered a size up (size 27) this was silly because the jeans were a tad big. If you order these jeans buy true to size. I loved the wash of these jeans and I loved how they were slim leg but not skinny.
My bag needs no discussion as it’s been attached to my arm ever since I got it a couple of months ago. But I will remind you that this bag spices up any outfit, I never see anyone with this red colour and IT’S JUST BACK IN STOCK, click here. These Dionysus are so practical….. oh look there I go “discussing” the bag again because I just can’t help myself.
My shoes were under £30 so look no further for the perfect pair of budget grey shoes. The felt fabric is nice and the heel is very “Acne”. I love to mix high end items with high street, if you style them well you can make £30 shoes look expensive. Buy sure to size.
I recommend always starting with a designer bag this is step one to “luxing up” any look. I have listed some good options below. You can style a designer bag with high street jeans and boom, your outfit just got luxe. Cost per wear designer bags are the way to go. I then recommend designer shoes. You can pair designer shoes with a simple high street dress and bam, your outfit got luxe again.
If you would like to step into designer ready too wear I can’t recommend investing in jacket enough. You can wear a designer jacket over any high street lok and it will make your outfit look so expensive. Cost per wear you will for sure get your money’s worth. I bought my first Balmain jacket nearly five years ago and I still live in it.
