Continuing on from my previous Andi Bagus article…..

This is the crochet monokini I mentioned to you before. If you find the right shape monokini they are extremely flattering; this shape is a great example. Get the shape wrong and they can be really unflattering. Of course if you have a killer body anything will look great on you but if you have some areas to work on like your tummy (like me) then follow my advice. I tend to stay away from a long panel in the centre of the tummy because this can make your tummy look wider and watch out for the patterns; the pattern on this Andi Bagus one draws your eyes away and out from the tummy where as horizontal lines and circle patterns can make you look bigger. Too many cut out panels can push your fat out but then again if you buy a well made one like my Agent Provocateur one here it can keep any fat in. There is something about a monokini that can appear slightly slutty to me. Paris referred to them as “slutty bikinis”at first even though they have more fabric than a standard two piece. With that said I understood what he meant so I am always carefully not buy a monokini that is too provocative or cheap looking. I am sure there are some photos of me in Marbella back in the day, I am guilty of wearing the odd slut bikini but I have found my way since. This is where crochet is perfect because it has that boho look. Stay away from really cheap or badly made crochet, the knit will be very thin and fray away and the wide holes will be transparent. Stick with Andi Bagus to avoid all of this no no’s.

I love crochet swimwear and I think its the best fabric to wear for bikinis:

1. If you want white or a light colour it won’t be transparent in any way.

2. I never wear my favourite or expensive bikinis on the beach because the sand ruins them. You don’t need to worry about this problem with the crochet fabric. I also find sitting by the pool can bubble the fabric on usual swimwear fabric so crochet is always great for this too.

3. Crochet bikinis or tops can double up as nice going out outfits if you are on holiday.

4. On a personal note I love the bohemian look teamed up with these seashell jewels.

You can wear this ankle cuffs  with shoes swell, I can’t wait to wear them with my white mules or some simple sandals.
