I am often asked what hair salon I go to and how I do my hair. I am going to do a hair tutorial for you soon but for now I want to share with you where I get my hair done.

I have been unable to share with you my favourite place to have my hair done because it has taken me a whole three years to find a salon I love and trust. I moved to London just over three years ago and really struggled finding a great hair salon. Everyone knows Essex is one of the best places for beauty and hair and I also love my hair, it’s something I hide behind and I would rather have good hair than good make up. Hair is SO important to me so I am a hard customer to please.

After trying out the majority of the salons in Chelsea I was not 100% happy with the salons, the odd ones I liked were way over priced. Chelsea is of course more expensive than Essex so I was already paying more and didn’t want to be paying some of the prices the salons were charging, specially when the results were not great.

As soon as I saw Joes salon open on Sloane Avenue I gave them a try and hoped for the best. On first impressions the salon is pure luxe; all white and minimal, the magazines were up to date (and always are) and the coffee is good (very important.) They use high end UNITE products which I have seen featured in Ella, Vogue, and Harpers Bazaar. My hair was in really bad condition and I had a block of really dark colour underneath and my previous hairdressers couldn’t get rid of it so I booked in for a full head of highlights with Coco. I was blown away with my result, Coco did such a great job and managed to remove the dark block of colour I had tried so hard to get rid of before. I have never been so happy with the shade of blonde and relieved I found an amazing hair dressers. Coco is also a “super braider” and the one responsible for all my quirky and beautiful braids you see on my instagram. If you book Coco you need to book her in advance because she is always fully booked, I have seen people demand to see her and will wait around to be squeezed in.

Paris has also had the same problem as me, he has struggled to find a good hairdressers, so I introduced him to Coco and now he refuses to let anyone else touch his head!

On my last appointment Lauren (super sexy) cut my hair and she did a great job. Gordon is my favourite for a blow dry so if you want to book in for a blow dry I recommend him. Laurent has also done my hair and again he did a great job. I am looking forward to meeting the new stylist Elliot who has a very impressive CV, read all about him HERE.

Joe the owner is the head stylist and often out on locations or traveling out of the UK for his clients. I have heard great things about his work so if you manage to get booked with him you are very lucky. To read more about Joe click HERE.

Everybody loves Rex, the co owner (Joes wife) she is the one responsible for making everyone feel at home and she is so passionate about the salon and making the clients happy. Maybe because I worked at Harrods for five years customer service lives in me and I always expect the best customer service, Rex gives her clients exactly this and it’s one of the best things about the salon.

The salon is in a great location near South Kensington station and Kings Road, right next to the Good Life Eatery so at most of my appointments I grab some food and eat it whilst getting my hair done. The salon waits on you hand and foot, you want food they will get it for you, you want to  have your nails done they will arrange it for you. The owners are so passionate about making their customers feel at home and the atmosphere is always so friendly. The prices are really competitive for a luxury, Chelsea based salon and when the result is good I am happy to pay what they charge. They allow dogs too!

I am so happy I finally found a local hair salon I can trust and always come out happy with the result. I do not need to worry now about having a bad shade of blonde for my wedding thanks to Coco and Joes Salon. I recommend this salon to everybody, girls, boys, locals or even people visiting London if you need your hair done in Chelsea I can not recommend this salon enough.

To book an appointment call 0207 581 1122 or visit the website HERE. The salon’s address is: 69-71 Sloane Ave, SW3 3DH.
