This is officially my first “Beauty And lifestyle” post. I am starting to cover more beauty, health/fitness and travel  so I thought it would make sense to separate the different areas.

For those of you that follow my social media accounts you will see I was whisked away to Paris with NIKE for a press trip, key word here being “whisked” because NIKE treated me like royalty. We stayed at the Hotel Molitor which launched the first ever bikini in July 1946, I fully recommend staying here just because of the pool alone. We were thrown into a full artillery on arrival and a bed full of NIKE, typically I was impressed with the colours and aesthetics before I even knew about the tech designs of the new Lunarglide 6. We were driven to a secret location which was a (party) boat full of NIKE Lunarglides, fruity cocktails and music. It was raining and grey but for me it made no difference and proved how organised NIKE was. We had a warm up under a bridge (with a trainer that had the best French accent that unfortunatly my Paris lacks) and ran a 3k run to test out the new sneakers. We ran passed the Lourve Pyramid and ended up at the Grand Palais which could not of been a better location for me as I will always remember the Shopping Centre Chanel show here. We were greeted with new kit, a blanket and a setting that was fit for a wedding and yes I did take mental notes to steal for my wedding. When we returned to the hotel I found myself cleaning the mud off my trainers with baby wipes because I couldn’t bare brand new shoes looking so dirty.

The fact it was raining was a good thing in terms of testing the Lunarglide 6 because we could test the grip on a wet surface. The moto of the new and improved sneaker is STAY LIGHT, GO LONG IN THE MOST STABLE LUNARGLIDE EVER. The Lunarglide provides enhanced stability and lighter Lunarlon foam for a soft and responsive ride. The shoe, whose namesake cushioning was inspired by astronauts bounding weightlessly on the moon is more stable than ever. With lightweight NIKE Lunarglide cushioning, enhanced stability, support and style, the shoe delivers a plush, responsive ride that runners love. Enhanced dynamic support technology helps to stabilise the impact of the strike, while a seamless upper offers improved breathability for miles. The final design, which was informed by runners insight, includes an outsole pattern that mimics the dynamic of a runners foot form landing to take off. The shoe is built with memory foam as in the memory foam good enough to sleep on which I could really feel whilst running.

One really important factor for me when I buy sneakers is I want to be able to wear them with my everyday clothes; dresses, jeans and even my beloved Chanel bags. To me there is a hierarchy of trainers just like there is a hierarchy of bags and ready to wear, are the Lunarglides good enough to wear outside the gym or do they live by the door alongside my muddy park trainers? Mine are sitting along side my Chanel sneakers in my wardrobe so clearly this is enough said. I believe we should salute our trainers.

The Lunarglide 6 was launched on Monday so its now available to buy. This was day 1 of the trip and next time I will tell you all about day 2 and all about the new bra line that is really exciting.

I was so honoured to share my experience with not only the NIKE press team (I missed you Vicki) at Exposure London and Jay from Nike but with beauty editor Jessica Diner (Hogan) and Net A Porters The Edit  Jennifer Dickson. You all know I am so honest in all my posts, I name and shame the rude people and always divert from my original content aka the beauty of being a blogger and no one restricting what I really want to say. For this trip it was all rainbows and unicorns shared with the best girls in the industry that made my trip that little bit more special, we even shared a special Chanel moment and Rue Du Cambon where Paris Dallas played it’s part, a natural component to a perfect trip. I want to thank NIKE for not only inviting me but also for the support I have had and the inspiration to full in love with sport all over again. I also want to thank Jessica (congratulations on the PD BOY) and Jennifer (I will always be grateful for your NAP “Little Black Jacket” piece) for making the trip so special for me, I  enjoyed your witty humour and your creative Instagram captions because that is of course how I judge peoples creativity and intelligence these days; generation instragram. Oscar thanking speech over.
