Due to popular demand I am going to start sharing with you some of my favourite places in London where I like to get pampered. Growing up in Essex where I believe you can not beat beauty treatments, prices and salons I am defiantly a hard customer to please. All the places I am recommending are places I love and most importantly salons that offer good prices. It’s easy to love spas that charge £50 for a manicure but it’s not realistic for me, specially when I am saving for all these bags hee hee. I look for good service, good products and competitive prices.
The first salon I am sharing with you is MYZ Beauty Boutique, where is it; 20 Powis Terrace, Notting Hill, London, W11 1JH. This salon is only 12 weeks old but already established with the likes of Sienna Miller, Lindsey Lohan and a few other beauty/fashion bloggers who have had the MYZ experience. I was introduced to this salon by a friend who is also a fellow Essex girl and indeed also hard to please.
Why I love this salon:
It has a lovely boutique feel.
Luxury products with that luxury service BUT competitive pricing. MYZ offers Essie and OPI nail polish as well as Artistic for gel nails, which by the way are the biggest selection of colours I have seen. Yon – Ka; a botanical, plant based organic product is used for facials. This is a factor the owner feels passionate about, all products must be organic and natural. For the pedicures the therapists do not use razors, they use natural volcanic stones which you can take home for £9.
It’s open on Sundays.
Lots of treatments on offer, so I can go to one place to get everything I need. Threading, waxing, nails, facials……everything. Plus male treatments so I can drag Paris with me.
GREAT coffee and even champagne if you fancy it.
Cookie the dog, this boutiques welcomes dogs and all pets.
And the owner Maryam. Maryam is the kind of girl that you look at and you want to walk out feeling/looking as glamorous as she is. I felt like if I was to open a beauty salon (we have all dreamt about that) it would be like MYZ, maybe because Maryam has fashion background and understands the need for luxury and those small touches girls (and boys) like. My favourite thing about Maryam is you either see her on the streets handing out leaflets, chatting to clients or making everyone coffee and making us feel like they are at slumber party having a girls night in.
I have had two facials; one hydrating facial and one CACI facial. The hydrating facial was fab but I am addicted to the CACI. I have heard of these non surgical facials but never seen one cheaper then £150 so I always opted for something cheaper and more affordable. At MYZ a CACI facial is only £75 or £675 for ten, which is extremely good pricing and the cheapest I have seen in central London.
CACI FACIAL
The CACI Non Surgical Face Lift is an advanced, non invasive facial, with twenty years of medical research behind it, this treatment will deliver visible results by re-educating, toning, firming the facial muscles. The facial works like Pilates; re educating the muscles to go back to their original position. This facial is not painful but you can feel faint electric pulses throughout and taste a little electricity in your mouth but who cares when you can see and feel instant results, my eyebrows were slightly lifted afterwards and my skin felt tighter. For me I don’t feel like I want Botox so this is the next best thing and going by Maryam’s skin who has been having CACI for years I feel that is proof it really does work. I absolutely loved it and for sure booking another one for myself, mum and Paris! Like anything I would recommend a course to see the true effects.
I have re visited this salon a few times now. I opt for the white nails as white flawless nails are the hardest to achieve when I do it myself. I also had my eyelashes tinted which I haven’t had done since I moved to London three years ago, it was too expensive for me to keep up until now. The next treatment I want to try is the Reiki energy healing therapy (see I told you they offer everything) and I also need to to test out the pedicures. The last time I was there the salon was offering an express mani with any treatment or 10% off your first visit.
