I have been so excited to show you my new coat, the coat of my dreams. I have wanted this coat for the last two winters but can not bare to spent over £2200 on a coat! People seem to think I buy what ever I want but the truth is I work very hard for my money and I am more careful then anyone realises. Yes I have a weakness for Chanel and I am at the point where I can spend thousands because I see them as a collectable and they keep their value but I am not at the stage to spend thousands on a coat.
Each year I try it on and each year the price tag increases by roughly £400. For the last few winters I have been moaning how cold I always am. The reaosn for this is because I always end popping into Zara and buying a winter coat from there. Don’t get me wrong I still love Zara coats but they are not the warmest of coats. I also thought that if I am still longing for this Acne coat after two years I should just do it before it reaches £3000.
It took me a while to save and it was pretty stressful making the payment but I can honestly say it is even better then I dreamed of. It sounds ridiculous but this is the first item I have ever bought where I am paying for the quality and the product values the price tag. Well it’s probably not worth £2200 but the quality is pure luxe and it is so warm, too warm sometimes. Due to the great quality this coat will last me a life time and I plan on wearing it until I die!
This Acne coat has fulfilled all my shearing dream and I am so glad I can tick this of my list. This reminds me; that tomorrow I have another big purchase being delivered; my 30th birthday present from Paris. I now only have one huge purchase to tick off my list. Another year of saving and I might just be able to buy it.
Today’s story is all about investing in that luxury piece you have always wanted. For me all those high street coats I buy each year will eventually add up to this Acne aviator, therefore to me it’s totally worth it.
I bought a size 36. The 34 was perfect but I am never a 34 and wanted to buy the coat over sized and how the brand intended it to look. I always find that the nearer winter approaches the harder it is to find these coats, they always sell out during winter so don’t hold back, just do it.
My super flares are incredible and flares for me are going no where. I couldn’t care less if people are wearing culottes and staying away from flares.
