I really did not think I would make the last day of fashion week, it was disappointing for me not being able to attend the shows but Chelsea Styling has been extremely busy, which I am grateful for as it means it is a success 🙂
I squeezed in the last show of the day to Haizhen Wang at 6pm which was the closing show for London. It was such a shame I only wore my outfit for two hours and literally ran in and out the show, I did not get to enjoy wearing my new amazing dress. The dress was by House of Holland and I love it! I love the fabric, the shape and the candy colours. It is a nice change to find something stripy that has vertical stripes which is more flattering than horizontal stripes. I may have to wear this again for the next fashion week so it gets the attention it deserves.
SO did you notice the Balmain jacket?!!!! I finally got a leather Balmain jacket I am so happy!! I hunted this style down and had to make a sacrifice of buying a size bigger than I needed. The jacket is already oversized and boxy so I think it will be ok….just. The only problem now is I want a more fitted one :/ I will need to save some pennies for another one. Do you think I made the right choice with the Balmain jacket?
I did not want to over accessorise my look so I did not wear any jewellery and kept it simple. I wore my mini Givenchy as a big bag at the shows is annoying and gets in the way. I have mentioned before my gold Christian Louboutins are quite hard to wear so it was nice to find a dress to wear them with. They are so comfy as well which is important for me these days.
The collection was quite eccentric to say the least, with the dramatic make up and face masks. The show featured heavy tailoring and exagerated shapes. Haizhen stated ” This collection is playing on a strong inspiration from architecture. As my previous collection also had architecture as a strong point of reference, this AW13/14 collection takes a different approach to the theme, collecting elements from an era of darker and more seductive aestheticsThis is introduced to garments, combining both boldness and versatility, bringing garments as tailored jackets that have been constructed with fastidious attention to detail. Leather trims are combined with Italian wool, with chunky hars herringbone wool and crocodile skin texture playing a contrast theme.”
I am wearing: House of Holland dress, Balmain leather jacket,
Christian Louboutin booties with Givenchy
mini Knightingale.
