My look for fashion on day two was a comfy look, I always learn the hard way; wearing heels the first day and having painful feet. Even though my Laurence Decade boots are comfy heels they are still heels. I can not tell you how cold it has been in London which really ruins the fun and prevents you from wearing what you really wanted to wear. I used layers as a way of staying warm without wearing a heavy coat because a coat is too hot for me when I am inside the show space.
I love anything with a bit of movement and this was defiantly a feature this season for me. I love long cardigans, shirts or scarfs blowing in the wind and this makes for some great street style shots.
I felt that the atmosphere was quite compared to the usual LFW vibe. I wonder if anyone else noticed it? Fashion weeks is also a sad reminder how bitchy it can be. I am lucky enough to have found some friends for life through blogging and we have a nice little group but unfortunately there is always the odd person who seems to think “working” in fashion (i’m sure it’s not just the fashion industry) means being nasty to others. In some cases people are just pure ruthless and it bothers me how they behave. With that said one of my friends said to me I should only be bothered by these people if they are my friends (thanks Fisayo) and are unkind towards me. I wish I didn’t care so much what people think but I guess that is just the way I am. Moral of the story ignore the bitches and don’t let them affect you and what you want to achieve. Bad bitches will get their karma.
On a slightly lighter note. I always tell you that I try to save money on clothes shopping and save all my pennies for a designer bag or shoes but for some reason I went on a three day high street purge, I can not wait to show you what I bought. I am going to make sure I shoot the pieces early next week to ensure they don’t sell out and you can still buy them. Trust me there are some nice pieces and it is all affordable. I will not be making a habit of this though as I spent half the price of a Chanel wallet on a chain (yes I compare the value of money to a Chanel item) but it’s worth it now and again.
