This was a look I shot last week, I had three attempts and all three times ended up getting caught in the rain and freezing to death. These shots were taken in between terrible rain so it was so hard to get the perfect shot with the light changing and the camera getting wet but we tried our best.
This is another evening look with the leather gloves being the centre of attention. I am not usually one to wear girly skirts with this fit as my waist isn’t small and I feel it doesn’t suit my shape but I made an exception for this one because I thought it was so chic and good to have in my wardrobe for when I go out and do not want to wear trousers or a tight skirt. It also reminded me of Gossip Girl, don’t you agree?
I am sure you have all taken note of the “over the knee” boots phase everyone is going through, well I am moving onto the “over the elbow” gloves phase.
The gloves are by luxury Italian brand Lilly e Violetta. You can find the brand on line but they are also stocked at Joseph, Matches, Saks 5th Avenue, Stylebop and Harrods; you know the brand is pretty amazing when they stock at Harrods and Sak’s so I do not really need to say no more. With that said I think you should know that the amazing Sarah Harris is as far as I can see the ambassador of the brand so you do not get much better than getting Sarah Harris’s approval. however it get’s better; Olivia Palermo and Caroline Stanbury are also lovers of the brand so you can see Lilly e Violetta is well on the way to becoming a luxury must have brand, worn by the most fabulous women. The gloves are made from the softest leather, the quality is to the highest level and they are totally seamless. I have a pair in grey and can not wait to show you them, I will wear them more casual so you can see how wearable long leather gloves can be. I can imagine them with a fur Gillet or a white shirt with rolled sleeves. I wish these gloves came in the form of over the knee boots, the leather and colour is so perfect they would be the most perfect pair.
