The mirror and sofa are both from a British brand, named TIMOTHY OULTON. I discovered the brand whilst working at Harrods. I must have seen it in the flesh in 2014/2015. I thought to myself “YES, I have to have it.” You know when you just know. At that time, I was preparing for my wedding and waiting to find my dream house. I used to visit the mirror during most break times and it was always in my vision when dreaming of my forever home. My wedding makeup artist Holly Tam was setting up her first salon in 2015. We used to talk about our obsession with the REX mirror and she finally purchased two for her salon. A little while after, I saw a sneaky glimpse of the same mirror in Paris Hilton’s house during a TV show. This year I saw that Kylie Jenner also had the REX mirror. I knew this was the year I had to have it, and what better place to use it than in my bar for the filming.
The REX mirror I have has a length of 53.1″/135CM, a height of 94.5’/240CM and a width of 5.3″/13.5CM. It is very impressive in real life. I did not truly appreciate it until it was standing in my home, if that is even possible. Seeing the mirror in a huge space within Harrods is a lot different to seeing it in my home. As you can see, the mirror lights up to give a Hollywood effect. I love this mirror for my home, but I think it would work equally well in a restaurant, hotel or a commercial space. The lighting has a dimmer, so we made a short GIF to ensure you could see the different light settings. It looks so great with the lights off, as it is turned on and all lit up. I could talk about this mirror all day and I could also look at it all day. It really is a piece of usable art.
The mirror also comes in a much smaller size, which is a round style. There is also a REX console table which is just perfect too! I need to have the matching console table.
Timothy Oulton is also well known for its “Inception” mirror which is inspired by the infinity mirrors from the 1970s. It is beyond cool and you can enter to win one.
