Yesterday I bought a new lens for my SLR. One of the reason I wanted a better camera was so I could blur out the backgrounds. Turns out you can’t really achieve this with a standard lens.
I researched online that I need a 1.4 lens, as a standard lens only allows 4.6 aperture. The Canon lens costs £349 at Harrods. I saw you could get a 1.8 for £99, huge price jump. After trying out both lens, I couldn’t justify the extra £250 (this could buy me those Marc Jacobs mouse pumps I NEED) and for what I require the 1.8 was fine.
As from my next post I can show you clearer images with lovely backgrounds.
I took these photos just before I went to lunch at Tartine, South Kensington.
I was wearing: Fake fur (as always) by NewLook Limited, wolf tee by Miss Guided, black waxed denim by Zara, black over the knee suede Jimmy Choo boots, black J12 Chanel watch with large cream Pandora handbag by Givenchy.
I love the Pandora style. Its so unusual and really light and practical. Weight is important when it comes to bags. Too heavy its horrible to use, too light it feels cheap. I mostly wear it with using the short handle but it looks nice with the longer one as well.

I really wanted the Stuart weitzman over the knee boots but now I’m leaning more towards the jimmy choo, they look really smart and great with the zara trs! Sensing another trip to Harrods, hopefully all this spendin will get me some great come points conversion time :-)) thanks for the pics!! X
