Firstly let me apologise for not posting for nearly two weeks. I usually update my blog three times a week so I apologise. I do have a good excuse and you have no doubt seen how busy I have been. NYC last week was totally crazy, the most full on trip I have ever had, but more of that another time. I raced straight into LFW and before I knew it, a week had flown by. I am already in Italy for another press trip, which means I will not have another blog post ready for another few days. I wanted to keep you updated with my schedule and give you a little LFW update.
In this post I am going to detail how to stay organised during LFW, in order to maximise your fun. This will include all my tips and tricks from style tips to packing!
As you know I live in between two homes but my main wardrobe is in Essex. This means I have to pack beforehand for LFW- I actually enjoy this as it helps me to stay prepared. Because this is such a busy period for me, I love to rely on accessories to add that extra edge to my outfits. During Fashion Week, I keep my clothes pretty simple, preferring to opt for more casual pieces and turning to earrings, rings, bracelets etc to transform the look. This is also perfect for me as it is so much easier and lighter to pack accessories as opposed to extra outfits.
The look that I am wearing was a simple shirt and jeans, with jewellery from the PANDORA AUTUMN WINTER COLLECTION. You may remember my article last week here where I styled some Autumn/Winter pieces with the same collection. I am the type of person that goes through stages where I do not take a particular necklace or ring off. The PEARL EARRINGS I am wearing with this look did not leave my ears the entire time I was in NYC. I find that a pair of studs can brighten up your face and these pearl earrings are perfect when transitioning from day to night events. My nanna always used to tell me that pearls were the only piece of jewellery you should wear in the day. These earrings feel sentimental as they remind me of my nanna now. Click here to see.
On my recent trip to Italy, I also used the same theory when packing. My simple t-shirts were transformed by the VINTAGE INSPIRED NECKLACE and LONG DAINTY NECKLACE, adding an extra sparkle whilst I am on the go with less time to think about planning outfits.
The main thing for me during LFW is feeling comfortable! I really want to make the most out of this week when it comes around so this is crucial. Adding the PANDORA pieces and my amazing braid helped me to strike the perfect balance. What do you think of my hair? I wanted to show off my jewellery and thought this would be the perfect addition. I also make sure my nails are immaculate. I could be wearing a two thousands dress but if my hair and nails are not done I feel horrible. I would pick jeans and a tee with immaculate hair and nails over anything else. My CHUNKY RING was the perfect finishing touch.
Never forget the little details.

Hi Claire, after years of reading your blog, and teaching everyone I know about your cost per wear theory, today I bought my first designer bag. I chose the Balenciaga new city in black, and just like your story of your first Chanel, going into cricket in Liverpool and buying the bag was such a good feeling. I chose this bag as i wanted something that fit with my own personal style (which is very casual, typical and everyday) thank you for doing what you do, your advice was key in making this (big for me) decision! Thank you for this comment and taking the time to tell me. I love hearing stories like this! I love that bag, good choice! xx
