LFW SS17 – DAY 1 – ENDLESS DENIM

This was my look from day one of LFW. I was extremely tired from my night flight back from NYC. Flying economy all night meant no sleep, oh the day I can fly everywhere in business will be the day I make it 🙂 We had to write up our LOOK magazine trend report and edit at least three photos from each look alongside a caption. When we arrived at Gatwick, I was on the floor, working on my laptop because the photos were due that hour.

This hectic twenty four hours and of course manic week in NYC resulted in a warm, chilled look for my first day in London. I chose flat shoes but I made sure they were the best flat shoes in my wardrobe right now! These loafers do not really need much explaining because you can see how fabulous they are. As much as I love heels I can not walk in them all day so I hunt down the best flats. As soon as I saw these pearl encrusted loafers they hit my “add to basket” immediately. They are from a brand I have never heard of before ” Coliac“.I only planned on ordering one pair but I also ordered the silver ones too. I new I would wear both and the silver version are slightly different. Click here to see them. These shoes are great for everyday, for work, if you are a mum and need to run around but still want to look glam; these are the shoes for you. I recommend to buy ture to size, maybe even half a size up.

My denim jacket is om my gosh, amazing. When this jacket arrived in the post I was so so happy with it. I ordered a size up because I wanted it over sized. It is so warm and I love the logo on the back. This jacket is by Isabel Marant but the sister (cheaper) line, ÉTOILE. It also comes in a darker denim wash but I loved this 80s colour. I can not wait to wear this again, I can throw it over anything and it makes all my outfits look on point.

The other item I want to talk about is my velvet top by a new brand called “Foxiedox  “. I had never heard of this brand before I just came across it whilst browsing on OVER MY BODY. Velvet is  huge trend not only this season but pretty much every winter, it’s a great winter fabric and an easy way to vamp any outfit. I love the sheer panels and the wide fit. Wide fitted tops are perfect for my square torso and because I prefer love fitted tops. if you click here you can find the top and be sure to check out the other times from this new brand.

I teamed this look with some basic, high street jeans and my CHANEL velvet Boy bag to continue that velvet trend.
