This was the look I wore to the LFW Rewards Style party last week. Emma and I had so much fun, a bit too much fun actually; but I guess you all saw that on Snapchat. Sorry Emma that I filmed you peeing in the street in Central London hee hee.

I am so excited about two things.

The first is I finally get to share with you another one of my Indian creations. I knew I wanted to design some blazers and dresses and of course beading, you can not visit India and not have a suitcase full of beading to take home. The stars were a bit of an impulsive decision; it’s very stressful trying to think on the spot what you want made, speaking to people that do not speak much English and do not understand the European style. Stars are always fun and I am not saying I invented the star trend at all but I am a bit gutted that someone wore a similar jacket for NYFW. I swear I was in India and home before NYFW started and I didn’t copy.

I added the choker last minute too, I love it that I can wear the choker with a plan tee. The jacket is fully beaded with (faux) pearls and made form pure, high quality silk. You may remember see the grey one here on my Instagram. I wore this dress with jeans to ensure I wasn’t too dressy. It looks so much better without a tee underneath but it was too cold not to wear anything else. 

When I cover my Indian holiday review I will tell you more details regarding where to shop, what to avoid and basically all you need to know about the Indian tailors. I am just putting together my Maldives video, can’t wait to share it with you.

The other reason why I am excited is because this year I am attending the Rewards Style conference in DALLAS. I am beyond excited. I am excited not only because I have wanted to go to Dallas for ages I am super proud of myself for not giving up until I was invited. Last year I didn’t even expect the invite, I was not ready and I was focused on my wedding, moving and also knew I was not at the standard to be attending such an huge, international conference. I think all members of Rewards Style can attend but I wanted to attend as one of the top bloggers to be personally invited, it was either that or nothing. I am really hard on myself but that’s the only way to progress.

I decided after my wedding I was going hit my blog hard, get creative and put all the hours into it. Just before Christmas I really did start putting my heart and soul into my blog, 95% of my life revolves around my blog, the content I am creating and what to plan next. This really paid off because you are all so much more interactive with me, which I love because I get to know so many of you. I have opened up more, opening up so much I am launching YouTube next week, eek. I am really looking forward to using this opportunity to help me grow even more.

This is a great example that if you want something you work hard until you get it. You can literally achieve anything if you try hard enough. I wanted this so bad I didn’t stop. I told myself that if I didn’t get the invite at least I knew in myself that I couldn’t have tried any more.

It makes it so much more incredible that I get to go with Emma Hill and the Rewards Style team are literally my favourite girls, they are so fun and such a lovely group. Gosh I can not wait.

A few of you that are bloggers have contacted me and asked how you get the invite to the Rewards Style conference. Let me start by saying I have only just got the invite and probably the smallest blogger attending. I can only suggest what I think got me there.

First of all your figures need to be high because this ultimately shows how well you are doing. To get those figures up you need to work, work, work. Blogging is one of those jobs where you can never switch off and you can create unlimited content; which is why I love this so much. You have to always be involved, planning your next collaboration, your next shoot, your next bloody instragram photo; everything needs to be planned and organised. Get creative to share ORIGINAL content and you will get there. I had to work a whole year to get there and I finally managed it along with the help from the rS team.

Set your self a goal and do not give up until you have reached it. If you don’t make it at least you know you gave it your all and you try again next year.
